Brand Voice

Define your brand's tone, style, and vocabulary so every AI-generated output matches your team's voice and communication standards.

Every organization communicates differently. JuhJuh lets you define that voice once, and every AI execution respects it. Code comments, documentation, commit messages, and generated content all sound like your team wrote them.

Organization voice

The organization voice is the baseline. It sets the tone for all AI-generated content across every project and every team member.

Creating your voice

Go to Organization Settings > Brand Voice and launch the wizard. Four steps.

Step 1: Name and tone. Give your voice profile a name and choose a tone: professional, friendly, authoritative, casual, formal, bold, or define your own with a freeform description.

Step 2: Voice and style. Describe how your brand communicates. The voice description captures personality and attitude ("direct, technically precise, with dry humor"). The writing style captures structure and formality ("short sentences, active voice, no jargon unless the audience expects it").

Step 3: Audience and vocabulary. Define who you're writing for and which words to prefer or avoid. Preferred words reinforce your brand ("orchestrate," "ship," "pipeline"). Avoided words keep AI from drifting into generic territory.

Step 4: Example content. Paste a sample of writing that exemplifies your voice. The AI gets a concrete reference point: your rules plus a feel for how those rules sound in practice.

Uploading existing guidelines

Already have a brand guide? Upload it directly from the Brand Voice settings page.

  • Upload a file: drag and drop a PDF, DOCX, or text file (up to 10 MB). JuhJuh extracts the text and can generate a voice profile automatically.
  • Paste text: copy your guidelines into the text editor. Minimum 50 characters.
  • Create with AI: launch the brand guideline wizard. Answer questions about your brand's foundation (name, tagline, mission, values), audience, visual identity, and tone. JuhJuh synthesizes a complete guidelines document from your answers.

When you upload or paste content, JuhJuh can extract tone, voice description, writing style, audience, and vocabulary preferences. It then presents a draft voice profile for you to review and adjust before saving.

Personal voice

Every user can define their own voice that layers on top of the organization voice. Your personal voice adds individual flair without contradicting the org baseline.

Go to Voice in the sidebar (within your organization) to create or edit your personal voice. The form mirrors the organization wizard: name, tone, voice description, writing style, and example content.

Analyzing your writing

Not sure how to describe your voice? Upload a writing sample or paste text you've written. JuhJuh extracts your natural tone and style. Review the draft, adjust anything that doesn't feel right, and save.

How personal voice blends with org voice

When both voices are present, JuhJuh uses the organization voice as the baseline and layers your personal voice on top. The org voice sets the standards. Your personal voice adds texture.

If the org voice says "professional and precise" and your personal voice says "with a touch of warmth," the AI writes content that is professional, precise, and warm. The org voice is never overridden, only augmented.

How voice shapes execution

When JuhJuh runs a ticket, your voice profile is injected into the prompt context alongside codebase knowledge, instructions, and ticket details. The AI reads your tone, style, vocabulary preferences, and example content before it generates anything.

The result:

  • Code comments reflect your team's communication style, not generic AI phrasing.
  • Documentation generated from executions matches your org's standards.
  • Commit messages follow your preferred tone and structure.
  • Standalone content (blog posts, reports, technical docs) sounds like your team wrote it.

Voice context is part of JuhJuh's progressive trimming system. If the execution prompt exceeds the token budget, context layers are dropped in priority order. Voice is preserved over less critical layers when possible, but knowledge and core instructions take precedence.

Brand guidelines

Beyond the voice profile, you can store full brand guideline documents in JuhJuh. These serve as reference material for your team and provide additional context for content-focused executions. You can also store longer-form reference material in Pages.

Adding guidelines

Upload a file. Drag and drop a PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, MD, or image file. JuhJuh extracts the text automatically and stores the original file alongside it.

Paste text. Open the text tab and paste your guidelines directly. Useful for quick updates or when your guidelines live in a shared document.

Generate with AI. The brand guideline wizard walks through four steps:

  1. Foundation: brand name, tagline, mission statement, core values
  2. Audience: primary and secondary audiences, pain points, motivations
  3. Visual identity: colors, fonts, logo rules, visual tone
  4. Voice: tone adjectives, communication do's and don'ts

JuhJuh synthesizes your answers into a formatted brand guidelines document. Review the output, edit as needed, and save.

Managing guidelines

View all uploaded guidelines from the Brand Voice settings page. Each entry shows the filename, upload date, and source type. Delete guidelines you no longer need. The voice profile and other guidelines remain unaffected.

Onboarding

Brand voice setup is a required step during organization onboarding. JuhJuh prompts you to define your voice early so every execution carries your tone from the start. Refine it later from settings at any time.

Tips

  • Start with tone and example content. These two fields have the most impact on AI output. A strong example is worth more than a paragraph of description.
  • Use vocabulary preferences. Adding 5 to 10 preferred words and 5 to 10 avoided words gives the AI clear boundaries without being overly prescriptive.
  • Review generated content early. Run a few test tickets after setting up your voice. Check whether the output matches your expectations and adjust based on what you see.
  • Keep the org voice broad, personal voice narrow. The org voice captures what makes your brand recognizable. Personal voice captures what makes you, you. Personal voice should not redefine the org's standards.
  • Update when your brand evolves. If your company rebrands, ships a new product line, or shifts audience, update the voice profile. Stale voice settings produce content that sounds like last year's company.
  • Instructions: behavioral rules that work alongside voice settings
  • Prompt Templates: reusable prompts that can incorporate your brand voice
  • Pages: store extended brand guidelines in your knowledge base
  • Tickets: where voice settings shape AI-generated output during execution
